Biography

Gaurav Mishra is an Indian Film Actor.He was born in (Sasaram) Bihar, and grew up in Delhi. He graduated from Delhi University. Gaurav discovered his passion for acting after he resigned from his corporate job. He did professional theatre for eight years with Asmita Theatre Group and then moved to Mumbai to pursue acting. Although his first role was in Raanjhanaa, but his breakthrough came through TV series Chupa Rustam ,which was aired on NDTV prime. He is known for his work in Raanjhanaa (2013), Tanu Weds Manu Returns(2015) and Rangbaaz (2019). During his theatre days he has done Rajesh Kumar’s Ambedkar aur Gandhi,Dario fo’s OTS based on Accidental death of an anarchist,Swadesh Deeepak’s Court Martial, Mahesh Dattani’s Final Solutions and 30 Days In September, Bertolt Brecht’s Ramkali (Good person of Setzuan), G.P.Deshpande’s Raaste, Partition(based on stories by Manto), Moteram ka Satyagraha (adaption of munsi Premchand’s story) Ashok Lal’s Ek Mamooli aadmi, Rajesh Kumar’s The Last Salute,Unsuni, based on Harsh Mandar’s book & scripted by Mallika Sarabhai, Neil Simon’s-The good Doctor(Log-Baag). He also acted in more than 40 Major Street Plays based on social issues-like Corruption, Domestic worker,Street Vendor,Garibi,Drugs,Road rage,Dastak, domestic violence,Inter-Faith. He has done theatre workshops in various major institutions like IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow and in various colleges on Delhi University with eminent theatre director Arvind Gaur. He has get honored to being a Judge in many theatrical events in various leading institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai, Gujrat Vidyapith, Delhi University, Amity University,IMT Ghaziabad, NSIT (DU), GTBIT(DU), MNIIT(Alahabad ).
