K.R. Parmeshwar
Biography
Parmeshwar K.R. has acted in feature films such as Thackeray, Uri, Malaal, Samvidhaan, Aligarh, and Madras Cafe in addition to the Gormint (Amazon India Webseries). He has also done an advertisement for Kalyan Jewellers. He is comfortable conversing in English, Tamil and Hindi. Retired in 2011 from Bank of Baroda (BOB), he holds UNESCO Certificate in Drama, Communication, & Journalism. He has done theater in 9 languages including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Sindhi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada & Tamil. He has directed plays for BOB in Inter Bank competitions and won many awards and appreciated by creative filmmakers such as the late K.Balachandar of Ek Duuje ke Liye/Zara si Zindagi and Bharati Raja of Solva Savan. Trained by veteran Mentor Shri Mansukh Joshi, of Indian National Theater, Parmeshwar worked with stalwart Actors & Directors such as Dr. Shreeram Lagu, Satish Dubhashi, PL Deshpande, Amrish Puri, Shambu Mitra & Dilip Kolhatkar. Rajnikant/Kamal Hasan were directed by Parmeshwar’s trained Assistant Suresh Krishna. Parmeshwar directed dramas for Colleges such as Elphinstone, St.Xaviers, Podar, Dr. Ambedkar College, SNDT, Isckon etc. He teaches dramatics to UNESCO/Mumbai University/Iskcon students. Till retirement from BOB, Parmeshwar’s subject was “Direction”, done after 6 pm till 12 midnight. After retirement from BOB, Parmeshwar started acting in Character roles in feature films, Advertisement films, Webseries & Television, during daytime, & doing Direction on stage in the evenings. He shuttles between Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. He is 67 years young with good health.
