Steve Fahl

Biography

Steve Fahl, named Stephen Larry Fahl upon being adopted, is an American actor, voice actor, and writer. He grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and Neosho village, Wisconsin. His biological father was a U.S. Marine working at the Fairfax-based Central Intelligence Agency, and his biological mother was the secretary of Senator Robert Byrd. His maternal grandparents were Irish, German, Polish and Czech, and his father was of Irish, Welsh, Scottish, and German descent. Fahl attended two Virginia high schools due to his adoptive parents’ divorce: Chantilly High School and T.C. Williams High School, from which he graduated. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a radioman for artillery and infantry, and as a base-guard for Military Police, he majored in International Business, eventually completing his digital cinema production and screenwriting B.A. in Summer 2016 at University of Hawaii. Fahl got his start in movie and TV production while working as a day-player, voice actor, and commercial model in ads, TV, and movies filmed by Hollywood, French, Russian, UK, Chinese, Thai, and Indian film industry crews shooting in Thailand. Consequently he served as a stand-in, body-double, and sometimes photo-double, for tall leading men John Cusack, Jean Reno, David Thewlis, and Bradley Cooper who were filming on-location in Thailand. Fahl’s U.S. TV debut was his speaking role on Hawaii Five-0 (TV series 2010- ) directed by Bryan Spicer in September 2016 as “CIA Guard 3”. His feature film debut was his speaking role as arms trafficker “Reed” in Madras Cafe (2013) after several non-speaking roles, e.g., Navy medic “Doc” in Oba: The Last Samurai (2011), and U.S. Marine “Barnie Barnes” on the Military Channel’s war-documentary series Ultimate Warfare (TV series 2012- ).
