Sumita Sanyal was born as Manjula Sanyal in October 9, 1945 in Darjeeling. She has acted in over 50 Bengali movies and a few Hindi Movies like Anand(1971), Guddi(1971), Aashirwad(1968) and Mere Apne(1971).
