Biography

Virginia Rodrigues – is primarily an independent Actor and a Theatre practitioner, working between Bangalore, Kerala and Mumbai. Having largely worked in the theatre for more than two decades with stalwarts like Anmol Vellani, Arundhati Nag, Veenapani Chawla, Revathy, M.S.Satyu, B.Jayashree. She has also been the core member of Bangalore’s multi-lingual theatre repertory – Indian Ensemble and Hindi Theatre repertory – Mashaal. Been part of an international project called “Zapperdockel un der Wok’ directed by Wally and Paul Schmidt from Germany. Featured in several National and international television commercials, Print ads & Digital medium campaigns ranging from popular Jewellery brands (Tanishq, Prince, Apranje) , Vehicles (Toyota, Toyota Q Service), Phones (Jio, Aircel), Banks (Axis), Tea (Tata Tea), Electronics (Harsha), Titan, ACT Digital, Maiyyas, Monkey Box and many more. She has acted in many short films in English, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. Played lead in Malayalam feature film ‘Samarppanam’ that got her the attention of the Malayalam Film industry in 2017. She has trained in Bharathnatyam. A multi-linguist, she is also a voice narrator for audio books and radio commercials. Her other interests include Photography and Arts Documentation.
