Synopsis
Manaroopa is a Kannada psychological thriller film, a story of friends who struggle to come out of Karadi Guhe which has all the trappings of a strange web of extreme narcissistic mind. The entire story takes place in a day and a strange experience for the audience to enjoy.
A planned get-together of friends, scattered after their college days and pursuing their own way of life, leads them to the dense forest of Western Ghats to unwind and recollect the past. The five friends in the course of journey to a Karadi Guhe (Bear cave) recall old memories – friendship, love, pranks, hatred, etc. and also share their future dreams.
During travel the friends lament how they missed the good old days and opportunities lost. The crave for old relationships is still felt and now the question of morality that is bound to create conflict raises its ugly head. Still, they retain their excitement to visit Karadi Guhe and also as they move forward they encounter unexpected challenges of the daunting terrain, even without realizing their journey is being snooped.
How they reach Karadi Guhe in the midst of unexpected challenges, their encounter with Maskaphobias and how they handle the situation is brought out in a free flowing manner even while capturing the millennials mind-set.
This is a story of friends who struggle to come out of Karadi Guhe which has all the trappings of a strange web of extreme narcissistic mind. The entire story takes place in a day and a strange experience for the audience to enjoy. If possible the audience could link it to their self-obsession.
